Our Story
Menya Connect was born from a desire to connect business data with intelligence and make business data driven decision. Business owners have a desire to increase their revenue and provide the best service to their clients. Customers express their desire for a say on services they're receiving for transparency reasons. Menya is born out of this need to solve this problem.
You need fresh Isambaza for dinner. You want to find a tailor who works with imigongo fabric in Huye. You're planning a wedding and need a florist, a caterer, and a tent hire company — and you have no way of knowing who is open, who has stock, or who can actually be trusted.
Rwanda is growing fast. 200,000 small and medium businesses are the engine of that growth — the market traders, the tailors, the agri-processors, the caterers, the artisans. But for decades, a small tailor in a rural village had no way to be discovered by a customer in Kigali. A fish salesman with fresh stock had no way to tell anyone. A cooperative with 120 farmers had no platform to present their produce professionally.
Google Maps shows you a pin. Foreign platforms show you businesses that can afford expensive advertising. We built something different.
Founded in 2026, Menya Connect is Rwanda's first live, intelligent business marketplace — plugged directly into the real-time inventory and compliance data of every registered SME on the platform. Your data and the data of every business on this platform stays in Rwanda, governed by Rwandan law, protected by Rwandan infrastructure. We will never sell it, and we will never move it offshore.
Verified Performance
Every Trust Score on Menya Connect is built from real data: RRA compliance records, MoMo transaction history, delivery speed, and inventory accuracy. You cannot buy a high Trust Score. You can only earn it.
Inclusion by Design
We built this platform to work via WhatsApp, USSD, and voice note because not every Rwandan owns a laptop or has a high-speed connection. The market trader in Musanze deserves the same access as the professional in Kiyovu.
Fair Economics
SMEs pay only when we deliver real value — 50 RWF per qualified lead, and a small percentage only on sales that actually close. We earn when Rwanda earns.
